My vision, my entire practice of photography, is based on seeing deeply into the subject, the light and shadow, the mood, the composition, the essence of whatever it may be that I intend to photograph. By pre-visualizing all of these elements of the photograph I can begin to see the results in larger terms than simply what appears in the viewfinder.
Passion is what drives me to make photographs. From a perfect sunrise, to the tears of a father dancing with his daughter at her wedding, the conveying of emotions through my work is always my ultimate goal, and to me, determines the success of the photograph.
“A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.” – Ansel Adams
